Rosie’s toilet maintenance tender raises eyebrows!

Colombo mayor Rosie Senanayake has not followed tender procedures when she awarded a tender to a private institution to maintain seven public toilets.

These toilets have been built by the Colombo municipal council with World Bank assistance.

S.S. Enterprises is to be paid nearly Rs. 300,000 a month for maintaining those public toilets, whose electricity and water bill will be borne by the CMC.

Money charged from the public who use them will go to S.S. Enterprises.
