Fuel pricing formula, a scapegoat

The National Movement for the Protection of Consumer Rights accuses the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation of raising fuel prices overnight by citing, as the scapegoat, a pricing formula that has not been seen by the consumers.

The Movement blames the massive fraud and corruption taking place in the CPC for the price increases.

The relatives and friends of the subject minister are running the CPC and swindling its money, it charges.

A relative of the minister had intervened and returned two bowsers to their owners after it was found they contained contaminated furnace oil.

The Movement says it will reveal all the massive fraud and corruption taking place in the CPC.
